Instilling a Fail Fast Mentality
These days, everyone professes to be adopting a "fail fast" mentality. Yet many teams don't feel truly safe to take the risks involved with innovation because they see their fellow employees getting sidelined when those risks haven't paid off. How can leaders lay the groundwork to help teams embrace risk and weather the inevitable failures that happen when teams pursue innovation?
UPDATE: A friend who spends a TON of time thinking about innovation practices commented that failing fast is great, but organizations need to align on the scope of the failures. It turns out I had recorded some thoughts on that but they didn't make the final cut. Here they are now!
