Digital Transformation Isn't "IT's Job"

One theme I hear time and again from executives about their Digital Transformation efforts: "It's going great! We have an EXCELLENT IT organization."

That's a great start.... but it's not just IT's job (or Marketing's job either, for that matter) to transform the business. Digital Transformation is about new tools and teams and processes (like agile, product management, and design thinking, to name a few) employed across the enterprise to fundamentally change how value is delivered to the customer. These are frameworks that can't be siloed if they are going to be successful in transforming the business.

Digital Transformation: Why it can't just be up to the IT Department

If it's not a strategy being managed from the C-Suite .... then it's not transformation. It's just an initiative that will have limited scope and impact.

This is the second installment of my Digital Transformation Quick Hits video series. Future episodes will be posted here!
